Company Visit to Barry Callebaut, World’s Largest Chocolate Factory
Dear Alumni and Friends of Harvard,
Barry Callebaut is the global leader in the chocolate and cocoa industry. With the support of 13,000 employees, driven by innovation and excellence across more than 60 production facilities and 25 Chocolate Academy™ centers worldwide, the group produces over 2.3 million tonnes of chocolate per year.
The small village of Wieze (between Aalst and Dendermonde), is the location of the largest chocolade factory in the world. Yearly no less than 163,000 tonnes of chocolate are being produced there. The equivalent of 40 truckloads a day.
Join us in a visit of this state-of-the-art factory, producing Belgian’s pride.
Besides the guided tour, you will equally experience a Chef’s session in the Chocolate Academy.
A light lunch and coffee will be served before the visit of the premises.
